Corporate Financial Analyst

Become a Corporate Financial Analyst at Edison International (EIX) and build a better tomorrow. You will collaborate closely with senior management and finance and strategy teams at EIX, Southern California Edison (SCE) and Edison Energy. Your responsibilities will largely consist of forecasting and analyzing the financial performance of a $16billion revenue company, projecting cash flows, forecasting earnings, evaluating year-to-date performance, and supporting long-term planning and annual budgeting, including capital structure, dividend policies, and credit profile for senior leaders and the Board. A day in the life includes Lead variance analyses across EIX and its subsidiaries, monitoring key updates in cash forecast and determining root causes of variances. Evaluate historical and projected consolidated financial results. Collaborate across departments to maintain and improve financial models. Prepare and develop presentation materials for senior management, the Board and key stakeholders. Perform ad-hoc financial analyses with modeling and present findings. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct financial research and economic analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and benchmarking. Support ongoing business activities and potential strategic transactions using critical thinking and financial analysis skills. The Essentials One or more years of experience in financial, quantitative, or operational analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Financial modeling and/or valuation, including creation and analysis of the three financial statements. Finance or accounting experience in a utility or regulated industry setting. Completion or pursuit of CFA Program exam I, II, or III, AFP FP&A certification, or CPA designation. Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, and other financial data and valuation tools. Experience using financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to craft, analyze, and draw conclusions from business data. Proven time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and adapt to a high‑paced environment. Experience performing ad-hoc analysis, including identifying client needs, gathering relevant information, analyzing, prioritizing, and presenting. This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on remaining days.
