Job Title: Packager

Job Description

The role of a Packager involves filling, sorting, lifting, and moving packages. This position requires operating various small packaging machines and equipment. You will be responsible for packaging products in cartons, performing quality control inspections, and preparing shipments.

Responsibilities

• Frequently load and operate guillotine cutters to cut products to appropriate sizes.
• Feed products into different types of equipment.
• Pack business form products into cartons for shipping.
• Arrange and stack cartons on pallets for shipment.
• Document weight, time, and date of packaged products.

Essential Skills

• Basic skill in using shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, and hand tools.
• Math skills.
• Mechanical ability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of production experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with paid breaks of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 10 minutes. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, no baggy clothes, or jewelry, but shorts are allowed. The team is family-oriented and close-knit, with a laid-back atmosphere. This is a temporary position available mainly in the summer, with about 26 employees on site.

This is a Contract position based out of Osage, IA.

The pay range for this position is $14.70 - $14.70/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Osage,IA.
