U.S. Water Services Corporation is a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility organization specializing in utility maintenance, operations, engineering, and construction services. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a staff of over 950 employees in twenty states.

Position Details:

• 4 days per week
• Pay $25- $35per hour (based off experience)
• Possibility for overtime
• Travel is required
• Must have valid Driver's License
• Previous mechanic experience is required

General Duties:

• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
• Verifies equipment / trailer serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, must be able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds of force
• General understanding of automobile, light and heavy-duty equipment, operation, and maintenance
• Hydraulic experience a plus.
• Air brake experience a plus.
• Willingness to put forth extra effort
• Communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to take direction and carry out job duties as needed and without supervision
• Maintains a valid CDL driver's license with endorsements and be insurable under company insurance provider/program
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to travel to all regions if needed.
