This 222-bed hospital is part of a nationally recognized, diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities across the country. The facility features an experienced OB department with seasoned nursing staff, a Level IIIA NICU staffed with Neonatologists and APPs, 24/7 pediatric and cardiology coverage, and a teaching affiliation with Michigan State University.
Opportunity:
OB Hospitalist – Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
- Inpatient OBGYN benefited position – hospital employed
- 10 – 24-hour shifts per month with a 10 on-site hour requirement
- No outpatient responsibilities
- Rounding covers consults, deliveries, and admissions
- Work in conjunction with an independent OB group
- Call 1:4 with the addition of a Laborist
- On-call physician responsible for ER admits and transfers
- Average of 50 deliveries per month
- VBACs are provided and C-sections are performed in the OR
- OR team available 24/7
- 24/7 Pediatric and Cardiology coverage with a fulltime pediatric cardiologist on-site
- Level IIIA NICU staffed with 3 Neonatologists and 3 APPs
- Mobile transport team available
- Seasoned nursing staff with 10+ years of Obstetric care experience
- Strong focus on teamwork and an excellent collaborative culture
- Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University including Medical Students, Family Practice Residents, and OB Residents on-site 24/7
