Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accounting records for multiple divisions and support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for full accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, payroll allocations, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Process and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll allocations for assigned divisions
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with established procedures
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and prepare financial reports
• Prepare monthly cost reports as applicable
• Analyze financial data to support budgeting and fiscal planning
• Assist with preparation of business and property tax returns and maintain business licenses
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and reporting
• Support year-end audit preparation in collaboration with management
• Use QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word effectively in daily responsibilities
• Maintain data integrity and security across all systems
• Provide procedural guidance and support to finance team members
• Ensure all accounting documentation is complete, accurate, and well organized
• Prepare accounts payable reports and process approved journal entries
• Deliver monthly financial reports to the Controller by the 10th of each month
• Manage special projects and keep leadership informed of progress
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting workflow and staffing needs
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and effective working relationships with vendors and staff
• Follow established policies, procedures, and chain of command
• Handle mail distribution and perform other assigned duties as needed

• 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a hands-on accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and general ledger processes.
• Experience supporting tax-related activities, including corporate tax, sales tax, or related filings.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and accounting systems such as QuickBooks Pro.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
