Contract | Nights (1900–0730) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments; accurately document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic, ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team; delegate appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and may float in rotation, including as a sitter

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license required
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
• Must adhere to applicable facility policies and unit standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit setting
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing workflows and procedures in an acute care environment
• Experience delegating to and overseeing non-licensed assistive personnel
