Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Busser is to set tables with clean linens and silverware and remove soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware from the tables. Additional responsibilities include proper maintenance and cleaning of side stations, floors and furniture, promptly cleaning and re-setting tables for use by the next guests, and stocking and maintaining side stations for all team members in the restaurant.

Responsibilities include clearing and scraping all dishes in the side stations after clearing a table, maintaining tables throughout service, clearing dishes between courses, and emptying glassware as necessary, proactively resetting tables as quickly as possible after guests leave the restaurant, proactively restocking items, multitasking to eliminate work quickly by practicing good working habits including cleaning up as you go and preparing for busy hours during slow hours, maintaining assigned areas to ensure it is kept neat and clean always, performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, following the sequence of service standards and all sanitation guidelines, regularly washing hands, avoiding bare-hand contact, etc., monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of all tables, chairs, and floors in the restaurant, performing restocking of side stations and assisting other team members with tasks such as rolling silverware, restocking condiment containers, and cleaning work areas, practicing sanitation and safety principles while in the kitchen and restaurant, including health code compliance, ensuring the proper conditions of all equipment and facilities, alerting management when repairs are needed, making sure all areas are clean and free of debris, providing excellent guest service to all guests and ensuring the same for all team members, performing guest service duties as requested, maintaining a fast pace for customer service needs, and being a team player, proactively assisting other colleagues.

Skills/Experience include being at least 21 years or older, having a high school diploma or equivalent required, knowledge of safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles, the ability to multi-task well and work well under pressure, a Nevada Health Card required, a Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card may be required depending on assigned location, the ability to stand and walk swiftly for extended periods of time, the ability to bend to obtain items near the floor and carry service trays overhead, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
