Medical Laboratory TechnologistJob Title: Medical Laboratory TechnologistProfession: LaboratorySpecialty: Medical Lab TechnicianDuration: 13 weeksShift: Varied Hours per Shift: 10 hours split shift during weekends (10 AM - 8:30 PM) and 12:30 PM - 11 PM during the weekExperience: Minimum one year of medical technology experience requiredLicense: Associate Degree in medical technology or a related science requiredCertifications: ASCP or AMT certification required, BLS (AHA) certification requiredMust-Have:Certification in Medical Technology (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by an accredited agency or the equivalent.Cross-functional experience in all laboratory departments except histology.Blood bank experience is required.Description: Utilizing independent judgment. The Medical Technologist performs complex chemical and biological test procedures on blood, tissue, body fluids, or excretions in either Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, or Microbiology.
