As a Forming Operator , you will be responsible for operating horizontal forging machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining our standards of excellence.

***$3,000 Sign-On Bonus! Payable at $500 a month for 6 months! ***

• Position Type: Hourly, Full Time

• Flexible shift options:

  • Weekdays | Monday – Friday | 5:00am – 3:30pm

  • Weeknights | Monday - Friday | 3:30pm – 2:00am

  • Weekend Days | Friday - Sunday | 6:00am - 6:00pm

  • Weekend Nights | Friday - Sunday | 6:00pm - 6:00am

• Pay Range:

  • $18.00 - $22.00/hour for Mon - Fri shifts

  • $20.40 - $24.90/hour for Fri - Sun shifts

  • $4.00/hour shift premium for night shifts

• Work Location: Hotform (7034 IL Rt 84, Savanna, IL 61074)

• Reports to: Production Supervisor

• Set up tooling, operate, and perform changeovers on forging machines to produce components according to specifications.

• Ensure products meet our strict quality control requirements.

• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and make necessary adjustments.

• Use an overhead crane to load raw material onto machine.

• Interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.

• Complete all necessary documents accurately and thoroughly.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in accordance with 5S standards.

• Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through previous experience or hobbies.

• Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions.

• Ability to take initiative, demonstrating the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion without supervision.

• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with team members and internal customers.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• Proficiency in basic computer and mathematical skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated steady work history with minimal employment gaps.

• History of reliable attendance record and punctuality - essential to support production timelines and team operations.
