Forklift Warehouse Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a Forklift Warehouse Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Sulphur, LA. This role is ideal for a dependable warehouse professional with at least 1 year of recent forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and contributing to safe, efficient daily operations. Key Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, stock, and organize materials safely. Pull, prepare, and verify customer orders for shipment. Receive, inspect, count, and put away incoming inventory. Learn and operate a cherry picker or order picker up to 20 feet high with training provided. Maintain accurate inventory records and organized warehouse locations. Support general warehouse duties, housekeeping, safety checks, shipping, receiving, and material handling. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Job Type: Temp-to-hire. Location: Sulphur, LA.

Required Qualifications and Skills Operate a sit-down forklift for warehouse material movement, staging, and stocking. Pull and prepare orders while supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Maintain safe, organized warehouse areas and follow established safety procedures. Assist with warehouse equipment operation, including training on cherry picker or order picker equipment. Minimum 1 year of recent forklift experience required. Previous warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, or inventory control. Ability to work safely at heights up to 20 feet. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, twist, pull, and move throughout an entire shift. Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment. Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and eager to learn. Preferred Qualifications Experience with shipping and receiving. Experience with inventory management or inventory control. Order picking and packing experience. Material handling experience. Experience operating warehouse equipment beyond a sit-down forklift.
