Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to lead and manage all HR functions in a growing, mission-driven organization rooted in peer support and community care. Key Responsibilities:

Staffing Specialist
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, benefits, payroll coordination, and HRIS administration
- Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staff development initiatives
- Serve as a trusted resource for HR guidance and conflict resolution
- Promote an inclusive, trauma-informed workplace culture aligned with peer support values
- Ensure HR compliance, policy management, and support audits and reporting
- Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational strategy
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a small or standalone role
- Knowledge of employment law (Maine experience preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
- Nonprofit or human services experience
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
