Life-Science Innovations is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Shared Services Director to join our executive leadership team. This role provides overall financial leadership and oversees centralized shared services functions across our group of companies. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strategic vision and operational execution, helping guide business growth while ensuring strong financial stewardship, risk management, and organizational alignment. This position plays a critical role in shaping long-term strategy and driving performance across finance, HR, IT, tax, and risk functions. Our goal at LSI is to provide tailored professional shared services to each of our customers, partnering with them to become an extension of their team. Headquartered in Willmar, MN, on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus, Life-Science Innovations employs people in a variety of roles and expertise. - Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term business planning
- Advise executive leadership on profitability, growth, capital allocation, and strategic initiatives
- Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, financing, and debt compliance
- Evaluate acquisitions, investments, and business performance metrics
- Present financial insights and recommendations to ownership and leadership teams
- Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, audits, tax coordination, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain strong internal controls, governance, and risk management practices
- Drive financial systems improvements and reporting efficiencies
- Shared Services Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight for:
- Human Resources, including talent strategy, succession planning, compensation, and employee engagement
- Information Technology, including ERP optimization, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and scalability initiatives
- Risk Management & Safety, including insurance, compliance, and enterprise risk mitigation
- Tax strategy, compliance, and coordination with external advisors
- Provide strategic oversight for:
- Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across finance and shared services functions
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner cross-functionally to align shared services with organizational goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Experience in multi-entity or operationally complex environments preferred
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, planning, treasury, tax, and risk management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational growth
