Computer Support Technician

Seeking a Computer Support Technician to join our team and provide comprehensive maintenance and support for computer systems and peripherals.

This position involves maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals. The role includes user account support, installation of hardware and software, and collaboration with vendors to maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Provide routine analysis and problem solving of network or PC software, hardware, or peripherals.
• Contact and coordinate with hardware or software vendors for service if necessary.
• Install computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new employees.
• Install new software packages and upgrades.
• May control password assignment.
• May aid in the development of system documentation and procedure manuals as required.
• May facilitate and conduct training sessions for company employees in the operation of software/hardware systems.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent preferred.
• General knowledge of a wide variety of software, hardware, and PC operating systems preferred.
