Every day brings something different, offering opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career.ScheduleMonday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PMOperators also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours plant coverage and may occasionally respond to emergency situations or work during inclement weather.What You'll Do:As a Wastewater Operator, you'll be involved in the daily operation and maintenance of a 0.45 MGD membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment facility and collection system.Responsibilities include:Conducting daily plant inspections and operational roundsMonitoring treatment processes and performing process control adjustmentsCollecting samples and performing laboratory testing and analysisMaintaining accurate operational records and reportsAssisting with sludge thickening operationsPerforming preventative and corrective maintenance on equipmentSupporting facility, grounds, and collection system maintenanceFollowing all safety procedures and environmental regulationsResponding to operational issues and emergency situations as neededWhat We're Looking ForMassachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator LicenseAt least two years of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh school diploma or trade school certificationValid Massachusetts driver's licenseStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with wastewater treatment processes, laboratory procedures, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenancePhysical RequirementsThis position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a wastewater treatment environment.Candidates must be able to:Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 poundsWalk throughout the facility and collection system to perform inspections and operational roundsClimb ladders, stairs, and access elevated structures as neededBend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces when requiredWork safely in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowRespond to emergency situations outside of normal work hours as neededWear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety proceduresAdditional InformationCandidates selected for employment will be required to successfully complete a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.What We OfferEmployee ownership and the opportunity to share in the company's successCareer growth and advancement opportunities within a national firmSupport for obtaining, upgrading, and maintaining industry certificationsA stable, full-time position with a consistent Monday-Friday scheduleThe opportunity to work alongside experienced operators, engineers, scientists, and environmental professionalsMeaningful work that helps protect public health and the environmentA collaborative team culture focused on safety, professional development, and operational excellenceJoin Our TeamIf you're looking for a position where you can build your skills, advance your wastewater career, and make a lasting impact on the environment and community, we encourage you to apply.Come grow your career with Woodard & Curran and help protect one of our most valuable resources: water.$25 - $29 an hour Depending on qualifications and experience.Woodard & Curran offers a comprehensive benefits package.
