Job Title: Pediatric Care Tech Location: RWJ New Brunswick (Bristol Myers Squibb Hospital, One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901) Department: Children’s Oncology Req #: 0000253126 | Status: Part-Time | Shift: Night | Pay Range: $20.11 - $28.67 per hour Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Pediatric Care Technician for our Children’s Oncology unit at our New Brunswick Facility. Video link: Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through American Heart Association Preferred: Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program Certified nursing assistant certification Scheduling Requirements Night Shift, 16 hours per week (2 shifts per week), 11p-7:30a, includes every other weekend and some holidays. Essential Functions Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care including taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, and bedside care such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care. Provide patient care appropriate to age and needs, ensuring safety and education. Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions. Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of care. Participate in collaboration of patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge, ensuring safe transitions.
