Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a LV Switchgear Mechanical Lead in Dallas, Texas. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the LV Switchgear Mechanical Lead is responsible for leading a team of employees in completing assigned manufacturing projects related to mechanical assembly of low voltage switchgear components. Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM Responsibilities Oversee the work of assigned team employees Address minor discipline problems with team members; refer more serious cases to the supervisor Assist with the planning and preparation of training and orientation for new team members in partnership with the training specialist and team trainer Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegate assignments based on team members’ skills and experience Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments Inspect work performed by team members Track and log workers’ time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes Partner with supervisor or production manager to resolve any issues that arise within the department Maintain a clean and safe work area Complete assemblies and sub‑assemblies for manufacturing projects, as needed Perform all other duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly or related field Prior experience in effectively leading a team of employees Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements Basic understanding of tools (e.g., Tape measure, impact drill, etc.) Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor Benefits Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans Life Insurance Short‑term and Long‑term Disability Matching 401(k) Contributions Vacation and Paid Sick Time Tuition Reimbursement Job Category: Operations Sponsorship Available: No Crown is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
