  • Partner with the Quality Manager to investigate product-quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits, documentation requirements, and ongoing improvement of food-safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation to demonstrate the facility’s compliance and due diligence in food safety and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and control operating costs across plant operations.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, monitor performance, and drive sustainable improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels and establish controls to minimize shortages, excess materials, and obsolescence.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and customers to support reliable supply and service.
  • Champion a proactive, accountability-driven safety culture throughout the facility.
  • Enforce PPE requirements and all Environmental Health and Safety procedures consistently.
  • Ensure equipment is operated safely and the facility remains compliant with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors promptly and consistently to prevent incidents.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of five years of management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead supervisors and production employees while maintaining a visible, hands-on presence on the plant floor.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, production planning, and workplace safety.
  • Demonstrated experience improving throughput, reducing scrap and downtime, controlling costs, and using KPIs to drive plant performance.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, quality systems, GMP, HACCP, corrective actions, and audit documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees in a small-plant environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on practical, data-driven solutions.
