Job Summary


Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to conduct virtual, one-on-one patient visits for a medical weight loss program. The primary focus will be on initial patient visits, establishing a baseline nutrition and wellness plan, transitioning patients into appropriate follow-up care, and educating patients on nutrition, exercise, obesity medicine, comorbidities, and lifestyle changes. This role involves collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals and requires strong communication and engagement skills.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual, one-on-one patient visits for the medical weight loss program.
• Focus on initial patient visits, completing them in approximately 30 minutes.
• Establish a baseline nutrition and wellness plan for patients.
• Introduce the program and help patients transition to follow-up care.
• Provide education on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
• Manage patient communications and follow-up through Athena.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Document patient visits and complete necessary follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dietitian credential.
• Appropriate licensure for the candidate's home state and additional states.
• Experience conducting one-on-one patient visits.
• Strong understanding of nutrition, exercise, wellness, and behavioral change.
• Comfort discussing obesity and sensitive health topics.
• Experience supporting patients with comorbidities.
• Ability to communicate confidently with physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Experience in obesity medicine or medical weight loss programs is preferred.

Skills

• Strong patient engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Professional appearance during video visits.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home workspace.
• Experience with Athena or similar EMR systems is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to remain actively engaged with a remote team.
• Schedule flexibility; candidates across various time zones are preferred.
