Responsibilities

- Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and procedural protocols. - Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in accordance with company policies. - Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen accuracy. - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing. - Ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. - Demonstrate leadership and process excellence skills while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. - Travel between multiple testing sites as needed, covering scheduled shifts and accommodating staffing requirements. - Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. - Basic keyboard and data entry skills.

Additional Skills & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. - Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington. - Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections. - Experience working within a Patient Service Center environment is preferred. - Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are required. - Must be flexible and available for weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts. - Ability to travel between multiple sites with punctuality and reliability. - Physical ability to perform blood draws and stand for extended periods.
