Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse role supporting inpatient psychiatric care in a fast-paced environment. Provide safe, compassionate nursing interventions, monitor patient status, and assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver inpatient psychiatric nursing care and ongoing patient assessments.
• Implement crisis prevention strategies and follow escalation procedures when risk increases.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care accurately.
• Support therapeutic milieu activities while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate charting using Cerner workflows (Cerner preferred).

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Pennsylvania (PA) RN license or Compact license (required at time of submission).
• Possess AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• Complete crisis prevention training (required).
• Ability to float within the organization as needed, based on operational requirements.
• Demonstrate readiness to complete required onboarding steps, including fingerprinting and any required modules prior to entering the facility.
