MANAGING DIRECTOR USA Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Managing Director USA with a minimum of 25 years of progressive professional experience to provide executive leadership for the company's U.S. operations.

The Managing Director will be responsible for business development, client relationships, revenue growth, operational performance, project delivery, profitability, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams . The position requires an executive who can develop new business while ensuring that projects are delivered safely, professionally, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable technical and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in engineering, EPC, industrial, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, utilities, or professional engineering/consulting services , with demonstrated success managing major clients and geographically distributed teams.

This is a remote U.S.-based executive position , requiring the ability to independently develop client relationships and represent the company with senior executives, engineering leaders, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Strategy

• Provide executive leadership for the company's U.S. business and operations.

• Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies consistent with corporate objectives.

• Establish annual revenue, profitability, utilization, backlog, and business-development targets.

• Identify new markets, service lines, strategic accounts, partnerships, and geographic expansion opportunities.

• Work closely with the President/CEO on strategic planning, organizational development, and major business decisions.

• Establish measurable KPIs and regularly report business performance to executive leadership.

Business Development & Client Relationships

• Lead business development activities across targeted U.S. markets.

• Develop relationships with senior executives, engineering managers, procurement organizations, EPC contractors, owners/operators, and strategic partners.

• Identify and qualify new opportunities and develop account-specific pursuit strategies.

• Lead or oversee preparation of proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and commercial offers.

• Participate in contract negotiations and major client presentations.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while expanding the company's scope of services and identifying repeat-business opportunities.

• Develop strategic partnerships and teaming arrangements where appropriate.

• Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, opportunity forecast, and business-development plan.

Engineering & Project Delivery

• Provide executive oversight of engineering, design, consulting, and project-delivery activities.

• Ensure projects meet contractual requirements for quality, schedule, budget, and technical performance.

• Establish effective project governance, reporting, risk-management, and escalation processes.

• Review major project risks and support project managers in resolving technical, commercial, contractual, and client issues.

• Ensure appropriate technical resources are assigned to projects.

• Promote consistent engineering standards, quality-control procedures, and project-management practices.

Financial & P&L Management

• Assume responsibility for the financial performance of the U.S. business.

• Develop annual operating budgets, forecasts, revenue plans, and profitability targets.

• Monitor revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, utilization, backlog, cash flow, and project performance.

• Review project financial performance and implement corrective actions when required.

• Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial decision-making.

• Drive sustainable revenue growth while maintaining appropriate margins and delivery quality.

Organizational Leadership

• Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management and technical organization.

• Recruit senior engineering, project-management, business-development, and operational personnel as required.

• Establish clear accountability, performance objectives, and succession plans.

• Promote collaboration between business development, engineering, project management, finance, HR, and corporate leadership.

• Develop an organizational culture emphasizing integrity, accountability, client service, technical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement .

Onshore/Offshore Delivery Management

• Provide leadership for projects utilizing both U.S.-based and international engineering resources.

• Establish effective communication, workflow, document-control, quality-control, and accountability processes between distributed teams.

• Ensure appropriate U.S. technical review and professional oversight where required.

• Optimize the use of global engineering resources while maintaining client expectations, technical quality, schedule, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

• Develop scalable delivery models that improve competitiveness without compromising engineering quality.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Promote a strong culture of Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental responsibility.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, client, contractual, and professional requirements.

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of QA/QC systems.

• Ensure appropriate technical reviews, approvals, documentation, and records are maintained.

• Identify significant operational, contractual, technical, financial, and reputational risks and establish mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive professional experience , preferably within engineering, EPC, industrial, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, utilities, construction, or technical professional services.

• Minimum 10 15 years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, engineering, project delivery, or business development.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a closely related discipline .

• Demonstrated experience managing a business unit, regional operation, engineering organization, or major portfolio of projects.

• Demonstrated success in business development and revenue generation .

• Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, project economics, resource utilization, and commercial management.

• Experience negotiating significant professional-services, engineering, EPC, or consulting contracts.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior client executives and decision-makers.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.

• Strong knowledge of engineering/project execution, QA/QC, project controls, risk management, and contract administration.

• Excellent executive-level written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment while maintaining strong engagement with clients and internal teams.

• Ability and willingness to travel within the United States as business requirements dictate.

Work Environment

This is a remote position based in the United States . The Managing Director is expected to maintain regular communication with corporate leadership, clients, project teams, and business partners through virtual collaboration platforms and in-person meetings when required.

Travel to client locations, company offices, project sites, conferences, and business-development meetings will be required based on business needs.
