Position Summary

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for PRN opportunities with Shriners Children’s . This position provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care Medical/Surgical setting. The ideal candidate is compassionate, clinically skilled, and experienced in caring for children with complex medical and surgical needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care Med/Surg unit.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document all patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Follow all hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute care pediatric Medical/Surgical experience within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association required).
• PALS certification preferred or required by facility.
• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a children's hospital.
• Experience caring for post-operative pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems.
