Role Description The Silk Screener is a full-time, on-site role based in elk grove cillage IL. This role is responsible for setting up and operating screen-printing equipment to apply designs, labels, and markings to metal and coated surfaces. Day-to-day tasks include preparing screens and materials, mixing and matching inks, aligning and registering artwork, and performing test prints to ensure quality and accuracy. The Silk Screener inspects finished parts for defects, maintains equipment and work areas, and follows established safety and quality standards. The role also collaborates with production and coating teams to coordinate workflow and meet customer deadlines, including working on varied job sizes and custom orders. Qualifications Experience with screen-printing processes, including preparing screens, inks, and substrates. Ability to read and interpret work orders, artwork specifications, and basic technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and quality control skills for inspecting finished products. Mechanical aptitude for operating, adjusting, and maintaining screen-printing and related production equipment. Basic math and color-matching skills for ink mixing and registration alignment. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and parts in a manufacturing environment, following safety procedures. Prior experience in metal finishing, industrial printing, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
