About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - At least 2 years of Med-Surg or Intermediate Care Unit experience. - Must be adaptable and able to care for a wide variety of patients, including stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-operative patients (ortho, GU, GYN, general surgery, etc.), and general medical. - EPIC and travel experience preferred. - May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if necessary. Description: This position requires a dedicated RN to provide care in a step-down setting. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in assessing and managing a diverse patient population. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with various medical conditions and post-operative recovery protocols. Effective communication skills are key for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing patient education. Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing clinical needs are necessary for this role.
