RENEW Life Counseling Services is seeking an experienced, independently licensed therapist to join our growing trauma-focused private practice.

This role may be Telehealth, in-person at our thoughtfully designed Mechanicsburg office suite, or a flexible combination of both.

The Opportunity

This is a meaningful, stable opportunity for an experienced, self-directed clinician within a growing private practice.

The selected clinician must be willing and available to gradually build toward, and then maintain, a minimum of 10 completed billable sessions per week. Referrals will be provided as available, but an immediate caseload, minimum referral volume, or minimum income cannot be guaranteed during the caseload-building period.

Consistent evening availability is required.

Our primary client population includes adults experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, childhood trauma, attachment wounds, relationship difficulties, personality-related concerns, and the effects of emotionally harmful relationships. Experience and interest in treating adolescents are strongly preferred as RENEW expands the populations we serve.

The office suite and its resources are provided exclusively for services delivered through RENEW and may not be used to operate an outside private practice.

Compensation

This is a part-time independent contractor opportunity.

• 50% of actual collected revenue for services personally rendered
• 55% of subsequent collected revenue after maintaining an average of at least 15 completed sessions per week for three consecutive months

Collected revenue includes cleared insurance and client payments, including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and self-pay fees. Compensation is based on money actually collected, not the amount originally billed. Payments are issued monthly after funds have been received and posted.

Estimated compensation is approximately $48–$115 per completed clinical service , depending on service provided, payer reimbursement, collection amount, and applicable compensation tier. Caseload and income are not guaranteed.

The clinician is responsible for their own taxes, professional liability insurance, license renewal, continuing education, and individual business expenses.

Clinical Quality and Professionalism

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated clinician who takes the responsibility of therapy seriously.

The selected clinician must be committed to:

• Providing ethical, high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy
• Selecting interventions based on each client’s needs, diagnosis, goals, culture, and readiness
• Maintaining current knowledge of evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment
• Remaining actively engaged in continuing education
• Translating professional learning into meaningful clinical practice
• Completing timely, accurate, and insurance-compliant documentation
• Communicating proactively and following through consistently
• Maintaining strong boundaries and continuity of care
• Seeking consultation when clinically appropriate
• Practicing within their competence, scope, and independent professional judgment
• Providing culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+-affirming care

Communication and Support

A brief weekly secure touch-base is required to share high-level updates about caseload status and communicate significant safety concerns, documentation issues, care coordination needs, scheduling problems, planned transitions, or other material practice concerns.

This is not formal clinical supervision or a session-by-session client report. The clinician remains independently responsible for clinical judgment and treatment decisions.

A 60-minute paid clinical consultation and professional support meeting is also available monthly. Participation is strongly encouraged and compensated separately at $40 per hour .

Consultation may include case discussion, treatment planning, documentation or insurance concerns, professional development, caseload sustainability, and clinician wellness.

Professional Development Investment

RENEW is committed to investing in clinicians who demonstrate meaningful, long-term commitment to the practice.

• After 8 consecutive months in good standing: eligible for 50% reimbursement toward one preapproved specialization training or certification, up to $750
• After 2 consecutive years in good standing: eligible for 80% reimbursement toward one preapproved specialization training or certification, up to $2,000

Training must relate to behavioral health treatment, the clinician’s scope of practice, or the populations served by RENEW, and must be approved in writing before registration.

Long-Term Continuity

RENEW is looking for a clinician who wants to develop a stable, long-term professional home.

The contractor agreement will require 60 days’ written notice before ending the relationship, except in emergencies or circumstances that make continued practice impossible or unsafe.

A departing clinician will be expected to complete any outstanding documentation and cooperate to ensure an ethical, organized transition of care for affected clients.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license
• At least 3 years of post-master’s outpatient psychotherapy experience
• Ability to practice independently without licensure supervision
• Individual Type 1 NPI
• Current CAQH profile or willingness to establish one
• Current professional liability insurance
• Eligibility for credentialing with applicable insurance networks
• Consistent evening availability
• Availability and desire to build at least 10 completed sessions weekly
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed care
• Active engagement in continuing education
• Timely, accurate clinical documentation
• Dependable communication and professional follow-through
• Interest in developing and facilitating an in-person DBT skills group

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of outpatient psychotherapy experience
• Experience treating adolescents
• Experience facilitating therapy or psychoeducational groups
• Training in EMDR, DBT, IFS, somatic therapy, attachment-focused treatment, sandtray therapy, or complex trauma
• Previous private-practice experience
