School Bus Driver position at The STAR School

The STAR School is a dynamic, award-winning Pre-K through 8th Grade Public Charter School that serves a primarily Native American population near Flagstaff and Leupp, AZ.

Position Requirements:

• A valid CDL to operate a school bus
• Current DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and First Aid/CPR Certifications (all required upon hire)
• Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including the safe operation of the assigned vehicle.
• Able to read and understand route sheet and simple instructions
• Effective communication with passengers, parents and school officials
• Able to complete pre & post-trip inspections and keep buses clean
• Able to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
• Willing to perform other duties as needed

Desirable:

• Bilingual English/Navajo;
• Familiarity with Navajo Culture
• Prior experience working with groups of young people
