Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician Opportunity

Our organization is a nonprofit, integrated medical group comprising over 450 healthcare providers across more than 25 medical and surgical specialties, dedicated to serving the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. We are currently looking for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to become part of our collaborative and mission-oriented team at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC).

Position Overview

This role focuses on a consultation-driven MFM practice , providing a distinctive chance to deliver specialized, high-quality care without the responsibilities of delivery. Physicians in this position will concentrate on high-risk obstetric consultations, advanced ultrasound techniques, prenatal diagnostics, and multidisciplinary care. The practice is designed to promote both clinical excellence and a sustainable work-life balance.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse and medically complex patient population at VHMC, the safety-net hospital for Maricopa County.
• Engage in both clinic and hospital settings, participating in shared home call coverage for VHMC and the Arizona Perinatal Program.
• Deliver comprehensive high-risk obstetric services, including ultrasound, diagnostic testing, genetic counseling, and diabetes education.

Teaching and Mentorship

This position offers significant opportunities to teach, mentor, and influence the next generation of physicians through academic involvement and leadership. MFM physicians will serve as core faculty for the Creighton University integrated OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship, hosted at VHMC and St. Joseph’s Hospital/Dignity Health. The program accommodates 32 residents and one MFM fellow annually, fostering a vibrant learning environment.

Academic Affiliations

Our practice is further enhanced by academic partnerships with Creighton University, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and Arizona State University. Physicians have the opportunity to achieve academic ranks and educate medical students from these institutions. Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Board certification or eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Eligibility for Arizona medical licensure
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and collaborative care
