Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers while adhering to scheduled delivery times.

• Carefully unload items from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or manually, placing them in designated storage areas at customer locations.

• Confirm delivery accuracy with customers and secure necessary signatures.

• Manage collections and payments from customers when required.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance client satisfaction.

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull between 20 to over 80 lbs. of product repeatedly throughout each shift.

• Comfortable driving and working in adverse weather conditions, making frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications and Skills

• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required*

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Possess a valid CDL Class A issued by your state of residence, including necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.

• A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (in any industry) OR three months of experience in food and/or beverage delivery is required.

• Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred; may be necessary in certain locations.

• Must be proficient in reading and communicating in English, capable of holding conversations, understanding traffic signs, responding to inquiries, and completing reports.

* Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is mandated by the Department of Transportation. All drivers must register on the Clearinghouse website. This secure online database provides real-time information regarding drug and alcohol program violations for commercial driver’s license (CDL) and commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders. Compensation is influenced by relevant experience, education, specific skills, job function, geographic location, and other applicable legal factors. The training base rate is $34 per hour, transitioning to component pay based on miles, cases, and stops after training.

This role may also include retention bonuses and component pay based on cases, mileage, stops, etc. Benefits may encompass health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement plans, paid time off, employee stock purchase options, and life insurance.
