2nd shift Production Operator

Production OperatorLocation: Defiance, OH Pay Range: $19.50 Shift: 3pm-11pmPosition Summary: The Operator will properly carry out all duties as defined under the Work Performed category. This person will be charged with correctly following all SOP guidelines related to this job. All work will be performed in a safe and sanitary manner. Duties include, but are not limited to, proper mixing of powdered products to meet customer-defined specifications as measured by bulk density, particle size, customer liquification tests, and powder flow. Proper cleanup and sanitation of all equipment surfaces during and after production are essential. A thorough knowledge and understanding of all equipment and controls is necessary for successful qualification.Essential Functions:Properly and safely set up all operational parameters and related equipment prior to production start-up as described in the SOP.Operate all necessary equipment during production to maintain powder quality and consistency.Properly and safely shut down machinery and related equipment per SOP requirements.Clean and sanitize all equipment associated with operations, including product contact surfaces.Complete all operating and cleaning checklists accurately.Maintain peak operating efficiency of all equipment.Keep work areas clean, neat, and dry throughout the shift.Attend all required company training sessions, including Safety and GMP training.Consistently follow all Confined Space regulations.Complete and submit maintenance work orders as needed.Perform additional duties assigned by plant managementRequirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.Sufficient education to understand written and verbal instructions.Ability to learn and master operating procedures and equipment.Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and maintenance.Self-disciplined team player able to handle emergency situations.Ability to maintain personal cleanliness and comply with GMP requirements.Ability to write clearly and in an organized manner.Achieve acceptable task proficiency within a 4-week training period.Competency validated through a Demonstration of Ability assessment by the department supervisor.Working Conditions:Hours subject to change based on production requirements.Additional hours and overtime may be required.During equipment downtime, operators may perform maintenance, cleaning, or other assigned tasks.Exposure to wet and slippery floors and stairs.High-noise work environment.High-speed moving equipment and machinery.Exposure to live steam and heated water.Use of corrosive chemicals requiring PPE.Routine stair climbing and heavy lifting.Use of natural gas as drying fuel.Exposure to combustible dust.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
