Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing

We’re working with a high-growth technology company developing advanced high-altitude platforms designed to transform communications, imaging and remote sensing. Operating at the intersection of aerospace and next-generation technology, the business is building innovative systems with applications across telecommunications, infrastructure, climate research and defence. We’re hiring a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop supplier relationships, identify emerging technologies and drive sourcing strategies across complex engineering and manufacturing programmes. This is a technically focused role working closely with Design, Engineering, Test and Manufacturing teams to secure the right components, technologies and supplier capabilities to support product development and production. What You’ll Do: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for systems, subsystems, components, materials, equipment and services Partner with Design, Engineering, Test and Manufacturing teams to understand technical requirements and future technology roadmaps Identify, evaluate and develop relationships with new suppliers and technology partners Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and technical capabilities to ensure programme requirements are met Identify alternative suppliers and substitute components to strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce disruption Lead supplier qualification, onboarding and ongoing performance management You Should Have: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supplier management or supply chain operations Experience working closely with engineering or technical teams to source complex components, systems or technologies Ability to assess technical specifications, supplier capabilities and performance trade-offs across products such as solar panels, batteries, motors, power systems and electronics Experience obtaining supplier quotations, evaluating vendor proposals and negotiating commercial terms Experience supporting the selection, implementation or optimisation of ERP/MRP systems, ideally within a manufacturing, aerospace or technology business Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders Bonus: Experience within aerospace, aviation, manufacturing or high-technology industries Knowledge of electronic, mechanical and aerospace component sourcing Familiarity with supplier qualification and onboarding processes APICS/ASCM, ISM or other relevant supply chain certifications Why Join: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision and disability insurance, with significant employer contributions 401(k) with employer matching from day one Chef-prepared lunches, snacks and refreshments onsite Access to wellness facilities, including a gym and pickleball court Dog-friendly working environment Opportunity to influence supplier strategy and technology roadmaps within a growing aerospace technology business A collaborative, high-performance environment where your work directly supports the development of innovative aerospace systems Apply: Keywords: Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Supplier Management, Vendor Development, Supplier Qualification, Cost Analysis, Contract Negotiation, ERP, MRP, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical Components, Technical Sourcing, Supply Chain Resilience, Technology, Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr Strativ Group
