As a System Engineer 3, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading network observability platforms, facilitating seamless operations in a large enterprise environment.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field; or equivalent experience5-7 years enterprise experience in an IT systems, network, or site reliability engineering roleStrong understanding of network observability, including SNMP, SNMP Traps, NetFlow, gNMIHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or similar cloud platformsProficiency in automating tasks using Bash, Powershell, PythonProficient with regular expressionsExperience with IBM SevOne and/or Broadcom AppNeta or similar observability platformsExperienced with various source control platformsWorking knowledge of Ansible and playbooksIntermediate knowledge of data retrieval languages such as KQL and T-SQLStrong understanding of enterprise networking protocolsExperience with system capacity and planning, as well as functional configuration and auditApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesAdminister and operate Windows and Linux VMs hosted in Azure to ensure compliance with security and configuration standardsMaintain network observability platforms including syslog-ng, and trapd by performing upgrades, patching, capacity planning, authoring rules using regular expressionsProvide additional support for IBM SevOne Network Performance Manager and Broadcom AppNeta observability platformsIdentify and automate tasks with Bash, Powershell, or PythonTroubleshoot complex network observability configurations, software applications, operating systems through regular maintenanceDeploy, configure, and manage cloud services on platforms like Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectivenessImplement DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, to automate and streamline development and deployment processesParticipate in on-call rotation (DRI)Company Benefits & CultureOpportunity to work in a large enterprise environmentGain expertise in tying network telemetry to AI workflows for performance, capacity management, and security purposesCollaborative and innovative work culture
