Job Summary

We have been retained to find a  Third Shift Production Supervisor for a fast-growing precision manufacturing company in the Bryan/College Station area. This is an opportunity for a strong production leader to take ownership of an approximately 20-person overnight team at a company investing heavily in growth, operational discipline, and a stronger manufacturing system.
This role is less about being the best technical operator on the floor and more about being the leader the team can rely on when senior management is not in the building. The right person will bring stronger accountability around safety, quality, workplace organization, employee performance, and daily execution while creating an environment where people know what is expected and are supported in meeting those expectations.
Third shift has historically been a productive and relatively independent part of the operation. The opportunity now is to give the team the leadership, consistency, and structure it needs to perform at the same standard as the rest of the plant.

Responsibilities

You will be the senior production leader onsite during third shift, responsible for keeping the team, equipment, and work moving safely and effectively while knowing when an issue requires immediate escalation.

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable an approximately 20-person production team.
• Set clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and workplace standards.
• Run shift-start meetings and establish priorities for the night's production requirements.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, equipment utilization, and production performance throughout the shift.
• Recognize quality or safety concerns quickly and stop or contain production when necessary.
• Escalate significant production, quality, safety, equipment, or personnel issues to the appropriate leadership team.
• Reinforce 5S, standard work, documented procedures, and structured problem-solving practices.
• Coach and develop operators rather than routinely stepping in to perform production work yourself.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, quality, and shift documentation.
• Provide a clear handoff to the incoming shift, including outstanding issues, production status, and required follow-up.

Skills & Qualifications

The strongest candidate will be an experienced manufacturing supervisor who has successfully led people during an off shift where management and technical support were not always immediately available. Strong people leadership, judgment, and accountability are more important than being the deepest technical expert in the plant.

• Experience supervising a production or manufacturing team, ideally in machining, molding, precision components, or a similar discrete manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience working or leading on second, third, weekend, or another off shift with meaningful independent decision-making responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to hold employees accountable while also coaching and developing the team.
• Experience responding appropriately to quality, safety, production, or personnel problems without waiting for day-shift leadership to intervene.
• Enough CNC machining or comparable technical manufacturing knowledge to understand setups, tooling, production issues, and when something does not look right.
• Ability to read manufacturing prints, understand tolerances, and work effectively within a quality-sensitive production environment.
• Comfortable working from written procedures, standard work, checklists, production metrics, and documented escalation processes.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, root-cause problem solving, TWI, or similar continuous improvement practices is helpful.
• Experience improving, rebuilding, or bringing greater structure to a production team or shift is especially valuable.
• Bilingual English and Spanish capability is helpful but not required.

Location

This is a fully onsite position in the  Bryan/College Station area of Texas . Candidates should be able to work consistently on third shift and commute reliably to the facility.

Schedule

This is a  third-shift position . The operation currently runs a Monday-through-Friday overnight schedule, although the company is evaluating a possible future move to a four-day, approximately 12-hour shift structure.
Candidates should be comfortable with third-shift work and some potential schedule evolution as the operation grows. The final long-term schedule is expected to be clarified before an offer is finalized.

Compensation & Benefits

Target base salary: approximately $85,000–$110,000 , depending on relevant manufacturing leadership experience and overall fit. The position may include a discretionary performance bonus and comprehensive employee benefits.
