About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (5:00 am - 5:30 pm) Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support certification required upon hire Must-Have: - Three to five (3-5) years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse - Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services - Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients - Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor and integrity Description: Align behaviors with organizational values and maintain nursing professional practice standards. Assume responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting changes in physician orders. Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations and intervening when necessary. Administer medications as prescribed. Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. Deliver patient care competently; seek coaching and mentoring from others as needed. Resolve patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and collaborate with support staff. Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and share care plans during care and at discharge. Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Foster a growth mindset through seeking mentorship and remaining open to coaching and feedback. Develop a professional career plan and establish personal performance goals in alignment with metrics. Foster an inclusive workforce where individual differences are valued and maximized. Delegate tasks to clinical support staff as needed. Interact with families and patients in sharing care plans during hospitalization and at the time of discharge. Provide feedback and opportunities for others to learn through formal and informal methods. Perform other duties as assigned.
