Registered Nurse - Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to mothers and newborns in a postpartum setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their recovery period. Supports family-centered care and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess maternal and neonatal health status and document findings accurately.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments following clinical protocols.
  
  
• 
  Perform IV starts and monitor infusion sites to ensure patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Educate new mothers and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and support staff to develop and update care plans.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and interventions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of recent experience in Mother-Baby or postpartum care.
  
  
• 
  Valid AHA BLS certification required; NRP certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in postpartum assessment, IV starts, and family-centered care.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work a schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and patient education skills.
