Assistant Controller

Century Group's client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. You will oversee the month-end close process and manage the work of the Accountants. Reporting to the VP Controller, this role provides financial decision support to the Corporate Office. The position supports the accounting department by administering accounting policies, procedures, and programs, and acts as a liaison between operating divisions, the FP&A department, and the compliance department. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $160,000 to $190,000 per salary.
Responsibilities:- Review, analyze, and approve journal entries and data uploads for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with operating divisions and finance to provide the accounting department with necessary field information for the month-end close.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and review them with FP&A.
- Identify opportunities to streamline journal entries and financial reporting steps.
- Ensure controls are in place to protect company assets from loss and safeguard confidential information.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 10+ years of accounting experience.
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
