VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital has been fortunate to work with pets and their people in the Newton community for more than 45 years. We are a three doctor, small animal practice that believes in the importance of dedicated client and patient care.

VCA Rotherwood is looking to hire a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. At VCA Rotherwood, we encourage and support employee growth and development, with training and development plans that combine theoretical knowledge and practical skill development.

Compensation : $25.00 - $34.00 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

\n

\n

Schedule : Full time, and Part time hours available.

Typical expectations, duties, and daily tasks will include:

\n

\n
• Client communication and education
\n
• Efficient and accurate use of electronic medical records and practice management software
\n
• Supporting the DVM team with patient appointments, taking accurate histories, providing treatments, and assisting with procedures
\n
• Safe patient restraint, phlebotomy skills, hands-free radiology
\n
• Surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient post-op care
\n
• Commitment to training and development of new team members
\n
