Sr. Application EngineerOur automotive business is growing rapidly, and we are now seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Sr. Application Engineer, you will develop tomorrow's cutting-edge power management solutions for automotive applications like ADAS, Infotainment, Telematics, Lighting, Body Control and more. You will work closely with customers, design engineers, sales, field applications, and technical marketing team. Occasional domestic and international travel is required.Job Functions:Develop and maintain deep understanding of automotive applications including ADAS, infotainment, telematics, lighting and moreOwn the support for assigned customers, build close relationship with engs at customers.Develop customized solutions and reference designsAuthor articles for publication in trade magazines and journals, application notes and whitepapersEvaluating and debugging the operation of new ICsTest and analyze customer failures, provide system-level assessments, and report on root causeUse experience gained from customer support to influence definition of new products and applicationsProvide technical training to field team and customersOccasional domestic and international travel (10-20% of the time)Experience Requirements:5+ years work experience in power management IC product development or hardware engineeringStrong understanding of analog/mixed-signal IC'sExperience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins by providing system solutionsAutomotive application experience a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and executive audienceAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions and across regionsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationshipsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume productionEducation Requirements:MS or Ph.D in electrical engineering or a related fieldLocation:Farmington Hills, MIMPS offers a comprehensive benefits package.
