An inpatient mental health facility in Chester, Illinois is seeking an MD for locum tenens psychiatric coverage on an ongoing basis. The clinician will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population of forensic and severely mentally ill patients. This on-site role features a Monday through Friday schedule with no call or holiday coverage required. Practice Info Inpatient mental health facility delivering structured psychiatric services Adult population that includes forensic and severely mentally ill patients On-site environment in Chester, Illinois Case load/PPD varies Average length of stay is variable Variable census Responsibilities Provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population consisting of forensic and severely mentally ill patients Conduct psychiatric evaluations Provide medication management for the inpatient population served Complete documentation via handwritten notes Shift & Schedule Locum tenens ASAP - Ongoing Day shift Inpatient Call required: No Monday through Friday schedule Schedule may be structured as four 10-hour shifts or five shorter days, according to operational needs No call coverage is required for this assignment No holiday coverage is expected Shift hours: Full time (40 hours) Qualifications Board certification is negotiable for clinicians considered for this position MD
