Job Summary


Our client is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join the Fertility and Reproductive Medicine team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role involves providing exceptional care for patients undergoing fertility treatments, including egg retrievals and embryo transfers, in a fast-paced outpatient procedural setting.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care for fertility procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and recover patients following sedation and anesthesia, including vital signs and recovery progress.
• Perform patient admissions, recovery assessments, and discharge education according to protocols.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Assist with outpatient fertility procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and administer interventions as required.
• Provide compassionate support to patients undergoing fertility treatments.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BSN required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in related fields such as PACU or reproductive medicine.
• Experience recovering patients following moderate sedation or anesthesia preferred.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Experience in fertility, IVF, women's health, or reproductive medicine is preferred.

Additional Requirements


Full-time role, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM schedule, roating weekends required.
