Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN

Facility Name: North Kansas City Hospital Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Shift: PRN Days Schedule: Weekends/Holidays 8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm (employee choice in advance) Your experience matters. Join a team dedicated to making communities healthier. What you will do in this role Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Implements treatment plans developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary. Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Qualifications Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state where services are rendered. Associate’s degree required; graduate of a program in the discipline required. Current CPR certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Strong organizational skills and communication skills.
