Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate course Must-Have: - Labor and Delivery travel experience - Experience with high-risk obstetrics Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing care to labor and delivery patients. Experience in managing various obstetrical conditions and complications is essential. The RN should be proficient in external fetal heart monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Skills in administering medications, including antihypertensives and insulin drips, are required. Candidates will assist in labor and delivery processes, including vaginal and C-section deliveries. The role also involves postpartum care and monitoring for complications such as hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia. An understanding of neonatal resuscitation and newborn assessment is critical. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float to other units may be necessary. Candidates must comply with holiday work requirements during the assignment.
