ARN - Resource Registered NurseWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Resource Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care across multiple departments including Inpatient Services, Critical Care, Birthing Center, and Emergency Services within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. This role involves coordinating patient education and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of professional nursing.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver skilled nursing care to assigned patients, adapting to various units as needed.Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects upon patient admission.Develop, implement, and adjust individualized interdisciplinary care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.Provide ongoing patient reassessment and document clinical status and interventions accurately.Administer medications and IV therapy safely, ensuring proper documentation.Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans at an understandable level.Assist with discharge planning from admission through hospitalization, involving the patient, family, and care team.Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new staff members.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and policies.Participate in compliance programs and uphold ethical standards in all nursing activities.Education and CertificationGraduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the regional state.Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.Experience and RequirementsProven ability to work effectively in Inpatient, Critical Care, Birthing Center, and Emergency departments.Strong assessment skills to recognize and respond to abnormal labor and other critical situations.Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage workload efficiently.Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Physical capability to meet the demands of nursing duties.Reliable attendance and willingness to participate in ongoing education and meetings.This position offers part-time hours primarily during evening shifts with opportunities for full-time and weekend packages.
