For more information, visit us at DescriptionJOB DETAILSPay Rate: $16.00 - $16.50 per hourShift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - Monday - FridayDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe Machine Operator I is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. They must have thorough knowledge of production techniques and the ability to produce quality-building parts.Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environmentAbility to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semifinished partsAbility to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipmentPerforms routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operationMarks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on partsAttaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct partsInterprets blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semifinished partsMaintains continuous improvement practices in work areaMay be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team LeaderQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Some knowledge of a manufacturing environmentAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistMobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environmentNoise Tolerance – High noise levelsTo perform satisfactorily in this position, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyThe requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills, and/or ability requiredReasonable accommodations may be made for employees with certain disabilities to perform the essential functionsAdditional InformationSite Address: 1463 Interplex Circle, Vicksburg, MS 39183 Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
