Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Pilot

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for pilot production in Irvine, California. The role involves hands-on engineering leadership during manufacturing builds, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization within medical device development for structural heart innovations.

Responsibilities

Provide visible engineering leadership during manufacturing and development builds on production floor
Independently investigate and resolve complex manufacturing challenges using data analysis
Lead technical troubleshooting during critical builds with structured problem-solving approach
Partner with operators, technicians, and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured methodologies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4 years relevant experience
Master's degree in Engineering or related field with 3 years relevant experience
Hands-on manufacturing support experience for builds or pilot production
Strong technical leadership and troubleshooting skills on production floor
Ability to work with ambiguity and conduct deep technical investigations
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems or digital manufacturing platforms
Mentoring and cross-functional team leadership capabilities
