General Qualifications Exceptional public speaking capabilities. Highly skilled in engaging and polished presentations. Thorough understanding of the history, geography, ecology, and points of interest relevant to our cruise itineraries. Strong interpersonal skills with a sociable and service-oriented demeanor. Creative and production-focused mindset. Enthusiastic, confident, and friendly attitude with a commitment to exceptional service. Excellent time management and detail-oriented approach. Regional Knowledge Requirements West Coast Itineraries : Expertise in topics such as Marine Wildlife, Glaciers, Native American Cultures, and more. Mississippi River Itineraries : Knowledge of the Civil War, River Navigation, Culinary Traditions, and other related subjects. East Coast Itineraries : Experienced in Colonial and Revolutionary history, Native American Cultures, Maritime Heritage, and more. Great Lakes Itineraries : Familiarity with Native American histories, exploration, maritime heritage, and wildlife ecology. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging formal presentations daily (45-60 mins each). Utilize PowerPoint visuals to enhance presentations. Provide informative commentary while the ship is in transit, broadcasted throughout the vessel. Conduct brief Port Previews and question sessions for all included stops. Participate in Shore Excursion hosting, providing coach commentary as needed. Dine with guests each evening to foster connections. Remain accessible to guests for informal chats and social interactions throughout their journey. Work Schedule Available 7 days a week while onboard the ship. Work weeks vary based on personal availability and regional requirements. Covered Expenses: American Cruise Lines will cover travel to and from your assigned vessel, as well as room and board.
