Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
• Active Texas Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred, with competency in comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, and development of functional treatment plans.
• Experience with documentation and charge entry in an electronic medical record system preferred.
• Ability to supervise or delegate tasks to therapy aides or assistants as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Experience participating in student clinical education preferred.
• Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and outcome measurement preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight hours each).
• Typical shift length: 8–9 hour shifts Monday through Thursday.
• Duration: 13 week assignment.

Impacting Patient Care

This role requires completion of comprehensive evaluations, clinical reasoning to develop evidence-based treatment plans, timely and accurate documentation including letters of medical necessity, and adherence to physician orders and insurance approvals. The clinician will contribute to patient and employee safety initiatives, participate in performance improvement activities, and maintain professional licensure and continuing education.
