Veterinary Technician New O'Fallon, MO

Salary: $18 - $23 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Schedule: This is a full-time position with a flexible weekday schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The typical schedule includes one Saturday per month from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM . The Pet Doctor- O'Fallon is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion. Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing. Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Qualifications: At least 1 year of veterinary experience required. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions. Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
