Associate Teacher / San Miguel

Associate Teacher Full‑time hourly position, $27–$29 per hour (based on experience). 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required; Associate Teacher Permit or higher desired. The role includes supporting the development, care, and education of children in a high‑quality, play‑based program at CYW San Miguel. Responsibilities Assume responsibility for the development and education of children in the assigned classroom. Model developmentally appropriate curriculum and agency policies. Oversee classroom routines, meal‑time clean‑up, and safety practices. Foster collaborative partnerships with families and support a safe, nurturing environment that meets Title 5 and Title 22 regulations. Lead a team and support staff as needed. Physical Demands Requires remaining stationary or traversing the workspace, positioning at low levels (including floor level) to interact with children; use of hands and arms to operate equipment and reach. Ability to observe and identify details at close and far range, and to exchange accurate information with others.
