Trauma, Critical Care, Acute Care Surgeon:

Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. Candidates must exhibit strong competencies in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, and trauma patient management, along with a proven history of teaching and research in health services, translational science, or basic science. The Department of Surgery is in search of a qualified Surgical Critical Care Residency Program Director and Medical Director for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The Trauma Surgeon will report directly to the Chief of Trauma and the Chair of the Department of Surgery. An M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution is required, along with completion of a General Surgery residency and a Surgical Critical Care fellowship.
Our organization operates as a not-for-profit faculty practice plan, owned and managed by physicians, comprising over 400 providers across all major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. Our physicians hold faculty positions and engage in inter-professional teaching through a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency program, which is home to the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix. We are among the 13 hospitals nationwide accredited by the American College of Surgeons for Adult & Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
