Maintenance Manager

Position Purpose: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance practices to ensure efficient operation of plant equipment, production processes, building, and grounds. This role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while leading the maintenance and engineering teams to support plant operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adjust layouts of plant processing lines to support operational changes or expansions.
• Coordinate planning and execution of plant additions, modifications, and construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory safety requirements.
• Provide engineering staff with tools, training, and resources to maintain facilities and processes effectively.
• Manage and implement Capital and Expense Budget projects.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure efficient project completion.
• Address daily operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Communicate openly with senior management and collaborate across departments.
• Lead and mentor direct reports to ensure cohesive teamwork.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in the electrical and mechanical field.
• Minimum of 5 year management experience in meat processing industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles and applications.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Familiarity with CAD capabilities and PLC-type equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly.
• Self-starter who works effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in environments ranging from -40°F to 110°F and in noisy conditions requiring PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• State Mechanical Contractor's License.
• Direct experience in the meat processing industry.

Work Environment:

• Primarily first shift (07:00 AM – 05:00 PM, Monday–Friday).
• Flexibility required for occasional other shifts and weekends as needed.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and manufacturing environments with mandatory use of PPE.
